Screening Standards:
Officiating staff will be screened upon arrival by the designated non-healthcare COVIID-19 screener for the event. Screenings will consist of a temperature check (<100.4), and NAIA symptom assessment. If any symptoms are reported the official will be referred for an assessment by an Athletic Trainer.

• Any official that scores 2 or higher will be asked to leave the venue immediately. Any official that scores a 1 with symptoms that cannot be explained (ex. Allergies, history of migraines, digestive reaction to a food source) or the explanation does not satisfy the Athletic Trainer will be asked to leave the venue.
• Prior to the event if an official is having symptoms and does not feel they would pass screening process for any reason, please notify their supervisor and the event supervisors listed below prior to arrival.

John Turek: 714-313-2155 Jon Clasen: 714-350-6130

• Please notify event supervisor upon arrival.

A face covering is not required if you are alone in a fully enclosed space (locker room). Life Pacific University

•Masks are required at all times while on LPU campus. All those that come onto campus must be screened prior to entering any facility. Social distancing of 6ft or more should be actively maintained.
o Student athletes are required to wear their mask and maintain social distancing of 6ft or more unless actively participating in warm-ups or competition.
o As we are not mandating the testing of officials prior to their participation in our competition, they should remain in their masks throughout their time on campus unless their position requires high-level of activity (ie. Basketball). At times of ceasing activity during competition, their masks should be put back on until activity resumes (ie, but not limited to: timeouts, halftime, pre/post game, etc.). Social distancing of 6ft or more should be maintained at all times when feas ible, and there should be a limit exchange of materials at the scores table.

• Game Management staff will be responsible for screening game officials upon arrival to campus, prior to entering the facility. The NAIA COVID-19 QUESTIONNAIRE: Non-Healthcare Provider Assessment will be utilized for this process.
o Each official will have their own questionnaire with their name, contact information, and contest information completed at the top.
o Any “yes” response on the questionnaire will require that official to be referred to the LPU Sports Medicine staff for further evaluation and final determination of clearance.
 If the official has a fever of > 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit and/or is determined to be symptomatic with unexplainable symptoms, they will be asked to leave the athletic facility and LPU campus entirely.
o If entire questionnaire is complete without concern, the official will be provided with the LPU campus sticker for the date of the contest, showing that he/she was screened and is cleared to be on campus.
 Game management staff will then escort the official to the separate designated, disinfected locker room.
• The results of all screenings of game officials will be signed by the member of the Game Management staff that conducted the screening. It will then be brought to the LPU Sports Medicine staff to be verified and signed by a certified athletic trainer, who will keep all documents on file for the season, which can be utilized for contact tracing purposes.
